Country Scones
Ingredients

warm water

canola oil for frying
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl combine 5 cups warm water, sugar, salt and yeast.
Take 1 cup of hot water and mix it with the 1 cup of oil and then add to the mixture in the mixing bowl.
Add the flour cups at a time until 6 cups have been added.
Beat this well and then add the remaining 8-9 cups flour one cup at a time until the flour is added making sure mixture is not too dry.
Let rest in bowl and rise until above the rim. Then pour our onto floured surface.
Roll out and cut for scones with cutter style of your choice. Let them rise briefly before cutting.
While rising get deep fat fryer or large pan with several inches of oil in it heated.
Drop scones into hot oil, carefully cook turning once top brown both sides.
Drain fresh scones on paper towels.
Open scones and fill with butter, jam or honey, or honey butter.
